I had the pleasure to make a presentation about achieving behavioural change at the EnercitEE metting in Annecy last thursday. EnercitEE is an EU funded program where 5 european regions are sharing experience and good practices to increase energy efficiency and attain the 20.20.20* target set by EU. The theme of this meeting was communication & motivation. You will find below the slides of my presentation. Later that day, the various regions presented some of their initiatives. The key learning for me is that:

- the local authorities, associations, people working intensively of generating interest and adhesion from the population in sustainable development programs have developed extremely interesting practices, that go much beyond traditional communication campaigns. The creativity is great and there are lot of good ideas to replicate.

- they are in demand (explicitly or not) for some kind of help to structure their overall change effort as their task can seem daunting: convincing consumers, businesses and all sorts of various stakeholders.
